At Ohly Americas, community is more than just a word—it’s a commitment. This year, the company launched the Ohly Americas Fund, a donor-advised fund dedicated to supporting Boyceville schools and families. The fund’s first initiative focuses on empowering teachers and students through mini grants aimed at enhancing classroom experiences.
Here are the Teacher Mini Grant funded by the Ohly Americas Fund:
Monica Miranda, Boyceville High School: Workplace Basics & Marketing Growth/Development – $759 to provide students with hands-on experience operating a school store. The grant will fund a laser engraver and tumblers, enabling students to create customized products while learning essential workplace, retail, and marketing skills.
Taryn Score, Boyceville Middle School: Fitness Improvement – $250 to purchase a sit-and-reach fitness box and a hand grip strength tester. These tools will give students a more comprehensive picture of their fitness, enhancing their physical education experience.
Erin Reisimer, Tiffany Creek Elementary School: Spanish Resources – $491 to purchase Spanish-language books for the school library, ensuring that Spanish-speaking students and their families have access to culturally relevant literature to read at home.
In addition to these grants, the Ohly Americas Fund is helping pay off Boyceville Community Schools’ student lunch debt, giving families a fresh start for the new year. What makes this fund truly special is the involvement of Ohly Americas employees, who contribute to the fund and actively participate in recommending and awarding grants. Their dedication highlights the power of community-driven giving and the meaningful difference it makes in Boyceville.
