The Founders Fund
Almost 20 years ago, our community’s leading businesses and philanthropists were asked to “honor our past and imagine our futureâ€. Our forty three Founders strongly believed that a community foundation would be a tremendous asset to our county, by building permanent charitable capital, making philanthropic grants, and proving services that contribute to the health and vitality of our community. Click here for a complete list of our Founders.
The Founders Fund is an endowed fund which benefits the operations of the Community Foundation. New donors to the Fund are knows as Community Builders for their commitment to supporting the work of the Community Foundation forever and receive special recognition.

 The Operating Fund
Our General Operating Fund supports the day-to-day operations of the Community Foundation. The mission of the Community Foundation is to enable donors to give back to our community by establishing various types of charitable funds, including scholarships and awards, nonprofit endowments, field of interest funds and donor advised funds. We offer these services through a very small but efficient staff and a business plan that maximizes efficiencies while reducing costs. Although the Community Foundation charges a minimal fee to administer the charitable funds under its umbrella, this income is not enough to support our work.
Please consider a gift to the General Operating Fund to support our day-to-day work. Our annual Jeans and Jewels Gala is a annual fundraiser for our operating fund and is held in November- Stay tuned for more information! You may also start a named fund in support of our mission through a bequest or in memory of a loved one. Friends of the Foundation
We are excited to introduce the Friends of the Foundation Fund. Gifts to this fund help us to: effectively steward the charitable dollars that have been entrusted to us; engage people and organizations in giving that sustains our community’s quality of life; and to provide thoughtful, creative leadership to address community needs. We are grateful for the support of community and corporate leaders.
