In 2007, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Northwestern Wisconsin was awarded a grant to fund annual events within Dunn County. The events funded were a movie night at the Downtown Cinema 4, a Big/Little bowl night, and a summer open house for all the Bigs and Littles in Dunn County.
These events, among others, are sustained to the best of the organizations ability and events are often shared each year between Dunn, Eau Claire and Chippewa counties. These events are of vital importance, designed to promote social interactions in settings that the child may not normally experience, as many of the Littles in the program have very limited social experiences beyond their own families.
