Marissa Joyce Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established in loving memory of Marissa Joyce. Marissa was a 2003 graduate of Menomonie High School, who lost her two-year battle with brain cancer. Marissa was a caring and compassionate individual who was well liked by all who knew her. She was highly motivated and pursued life with determination and enthusiasm. This scholarship has been established to honor all the nurses who took such loving care of her throughout her illness. The student must be a graduating senior from Menomonie High School, have a GPA of 3.20 or higher, and be attending either a two or four year institution in pursuit of a degree in the field of Nursing. The student must demonstrate leadership qualities, school and/or community involvement, compassion and concern for others. Submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher and a short essay of why they have chosen the field of nursing.
