The Community Foundation of Dunn County is pleased to announce the appointment of Suzanne Traxler and Jonathan Kroening to its Board of Directors.
Sue Traxler is the Assistant Chancellor for Learning and Information Technology and CIO at UW-Stout. She has been in this role since January 2017 after spending 4 years at UW- Platteville in a similar role. Prior to joining the University of Wisconsin system, she spent 20 years in IT at Carleton College, in Northfield, MN. Growing up on a family farm in central MN, Sue is from a large family and is very familiar with volunteering. Sue and her husband, Rick, have 3 adult children. Sue is involved in the Menomonie Noon Rotary, Kids Against Hunger, Women’s Giving Circle and is delighted to now be joining the Community Foundation Board. “I’m very excited to be joining such a wonderful organization. Menomonie is a great community, and I’m glad that I have this opportunity to give of my time,” she said.
Jon Kroening has been serving the Chippewa Valley as a financial planner and advisor for 13 years and currently provides those services through Heartland Financial Associates, LLC – Wealth Management, a full-service financial firm committed to helping people pursue their financial goals. “I look forward to sharing my expertise in charitable planning as a member of the Community Foundation’s Board,” said Kroening. He has been a member of the community since graduating from UW-Stout in 2000. Jon and his wife, Rochelle, have four wonderful children, Aiden, Ava, Ella and Eli, ranging in ages from 7 ½ years to 4 months old.
Outgoing board members Bruce Siebold and Richard Rhiel see a bright future for the Foundation and its continued impact in Dunn County. “It has been a truly remarkable and exciting time for the Foundation as it continues to grow and enhance the quality of life in Dunn County. Sue and Jon will be outsta nding new board members,” said Siebold. Added Rhiel, “It’s truly amazing to see how many people the Foundation reaches, not only with the grant monies that are awarded to various organizations, but also the people who have thought enough to give back to the community through their philanthropy. I know that I will be keeping the Community Foundation in mind, as part of my own means of philanthropy as I move forward.”
