COVID-19: How You Can Help
Many of you are asking us what you can do for your community during this challenging time.
Our message to community members who want to help is this: It is a critical time for so many, including nonprofit organizations who’ve benefited from your giving in the past, as well as those who have been forced to cancel annual fundraising events and/or depend heavily on public gatherings.
We would like to reinforce the message to continue your regular support of these organizations, along with others that need your help at this critical time. Now is the time to double down for our community as we gain greater awareness of the depth and scale of the long-term ramifications of the outbreak.
Donors should visit the web pages and social media accounts of the organizations they care about to learn about their needs and donate directly to them at this time.
Donors with a fund at the Community Foundation can e-mail Julie Bendel at jbendel@cfdunncounty.org for a grant recommendation form if you would like to use your fund to support local nonprofits at this time. The Board of Directors will expedite grant recommendations during this period.
Community members who want to help but do not know how, can direct donations to the United Way’s Disaster Fund at the Community Foundation of Dunn County, with the assurance it will go immediately to assist organizations engaging in immediate basic needs relief as identified by the United Way.
