The Standard SCHOOL DISTRICT OF THE MENOMONIE AREA Teacher Mini Grants Cycle is Now Open:

The Menomonie Area Public Schools Excellence in Education Fund, managed by the Community Foundation of Dunn County, was established to offer district faculty the opportunity to apply for educational grant funding to support school projects that promote learning and improve the overall academic achievement of students.  Funding is awarded annually through a competitive, mini-grant program for requests such as:

  • Innovative projects that engage and motivate students and improve their academic success
  • Collaborative projects between classes/schools or with community organizations and businesses
  • Tangible program materials that will continue to serve the district beyond the grant period

*Special Consideration for History/Culture Related Requests* – Up to $1,000 from the Kari Jo Bostrom Memorial Fund is available each year to support mini-grant requests for projects in areas that Kari was passionate about – including history-related experiences or research projects, field trips to area museums or veterans’ memorials, or projects that immerse students into various cultures or the arts.

The deadline to submit applications is Monday, November 1st, 2021 by 4pm.  Funding decisions will be made within (6) weeks of the deadline, and funds will be issued to the school district in December for disbursement.  Grant funding cannot be used for reimbursements and should be used to support programs or projects scheduled for either this spring or next fall.   Please follow the link below for complete details and to complete an application:
